What is Halloween?
Halloween is observed on October 31. Its history draws on more than one tradition, including the Celtic festival of Samhain and the eve of All Saints' Day. Modern celebrations vary widely: some focus on costumes and trick-or-treating, while others feature community gatherings, seasonal decorations, storytelling or quiet family activities.
There is no single right way to celebrate. A warm welcome, a thoughtful activity and a safe setting matter more than elaborate decorations.
