Scene 1: The Sun and The Seasons

Soft music playing. Surya stands center stage with glowing light.
Narrator: In ancient times, when humans coexisted with nature, the Sun held a significance beyond being a mere source of light in the sky. Surya, the giver of life, warmth, and time itself.
Surya: After months of heading south, the world chills. Now, it's time to turn towards the north and begin my journey.
(Music rises)

Scene 2: Makar Sankranti – The Sacred Turn

Sage: Today, the Sun enters Makara Rashi. This holy day is called Makar Sankranti!
Narrator: On this day, it is said that light triumphs over darkness and doing good brings abundant blessings.
(Villagers enter with folded hands)
Villagers: (Together) We thank you, Surya Dev!
Child: (Offering sweets) Use sesame and jaggery to bring sweetness to our lives and kindness to our words.
Surya: Let harmony return to families. Let forgiveness heal old wounds.
(Short pause)
Narrator: On this day, Surya even visits his son Shani, teaching the world the power of reconciliation.

Scene 3: Uttarayan – Hopes Take Flight

Sound of wind. Children pretend to fly kites.
Narrator: With Makar Sankranti begins Uttarayan — the Sun’s northward journey.
Farmer 1: The days are getting longer!
Farmer 2: The cold is fading. Hope has returned!
Child: Look! Our kites touch the sky!
Narrator: Kites soar into the sky, bearing dreams, gratitude, and joy, while individuals embrace health, warmth, and fresh starts.

Scene 4: Magh Bihu – Fire of Gratitude (Assam)

Bonfire prop or symbolic flame on stage.
Narrator: The Sun travels east to the fertile lands of Assam.
Assamese Farmer: Our harvest is complete. Let us thank fire and nature.
(Villagers circle the bonfire)
All: (Softly) May hardship burn away. May abundance stay.
Narrator: This is Magh Bihu — an occasion to commemorate the bounty of the harvest, foster togetherness, and exchange food with affection

Scene 5: Pongal – When Life Overflows (Tamil Nadu)

Clay pot prop. Boiling sound effect.
Tamil Farmer: Milk rises! Rice cooks!
All: (Joyfully) Pongalo Pongal!
Narrator: Pongal means to overflow — overflowing with prosperity, happiness, and blessings.
(Lord Krishna enters)
Krishna: Do not solely worship power. Show reverence to the Earth, the livestock, and nature, as they are essential for sustaining life.
Narrator: On Mattu PongalCows are praised and honored, serving as a reminder to show respect for all living creatures.

Final Scene: One Sun, One Message

(All characters come together on stage)
Surya: While you may celebrate me in various ways, your message remains consistent.
All Together:

Respect for Nature

Sharing with Humanity
