Cupcakes and muffins look similar. But here are differences 1. Cup cakes are dessert. But muffins may or may not be desserts. They can be savory too. Savory muffins are made with items like bacon, cheese, etc. 2. Cupcakes, like most desserts, use butter. But muffins use oil. 3. The process of making the cup cake and muffin are different. While making cupcakes there are multiple steps. There is a step by step procedure where ingredients are put one after the other in sequence. On other hand for muffins everything mixed in together. 4.
