Practical Solutions for NRIs
- Weather Challenges: In freezing climates, standing in outdoor lakes is dangerous. Many devotees use indoor heated pools or stand in a small tub of warm water near a glass door/window facing the sun.
- Sourcing Samagri: Specialized Indian grocery stores import bamboo Soops, sugarcane, and jaggery blocks. If bamboo is unavailable, brass Soops are an excellent permanent alternative.
- Time Zones: The Puja is dependent on the sun. NRIs must use their specific local sunrise and sunset timings, which often means their rituals happen on slightly different dates/times than in India.
