देव के सुरुज मंदिर से गया के फल्गु तक, मगह के हर घाट पर आज अरघ के लाली हे : सब बरती के परनाम। From the Sun temple at Deo to the Falgu at Gaya, every ghat of Magadh glows with the arghya today : salutations to every vrati.
डूबइत सुरुज के अरघ देके सीखऽ हथिन कि ढलइत के भी मान करे के चाही, आउ उगइत सुरुज के अरघ देके कि हर अन्हार के बाद भोर आवऽ हे। By offering arghya to the setting sun we learn to respect even what is declining, and by offering it to the rising sun, that dawn always follows darkness.
नहाय-खाय, खरना के खीर-रोटी, साँझ के अरघ आउ भोर के अरघ : चारो दिन तोहर घर सुख-समृद्धि लावे। Nahay-Khay, Kharna's kheer-roti, the evening and dawn arghya : may all four days bring happiness and prosperity to your home.
इयाद हो, बाबूजी माथा पर दउरा लेके घाट जा हलथिन आउ माय रात भर ठेकुआ छानऽ हलथिन? ऊ इयाद आजो मन के इंजोर करऽ हे। Remember father carrying the daura on his head to the ghat and mother frying thekua all night? Those memories still light up the heart.
ट्रेन में ठाढ़ होके दिल्ली-मुंबई से घर लउटे वाला हर मगहिया के सलाम : छठे त सबके घाट तक खींच लावऽ हे। A salute to every Magahi person standing in crowded trains to come home from Delhi and Mumbai : Chhath is what pulls everyone back to the ghat.
ई बेर घाट न पहुँच पइलऽ त जहाँ हऽ ओहिजे से सुरुज देव के परनाम कर लऽ : छठी मइया दूरी न, सरधा देखऽ हथ। If you couldn't reach the ghat this time, salute the Sun God from wherever you are : Chhathi Maiya sees devotion, not distance.
घाट साफ रखऽ, पोखर-नदी के मान रखऽ : इहे छठ के असली पूजा हे। Keep the ghats clean, respect the ponds and rivers : that is the real worship of Chhath.
सूप में ठेकुआ, हाथ में दीया, आँख में सुरुज। 🌅 #छठपूजा Thekua in the soop, a lamp in hand, the sun in our eyes.
