- ಈರೆಗ್ಲಾ ಈರೆನ ಕುಟುಂಬೊಗುಲಾ ಛಠ್ ಪೂಜೆದ ಎಡ್ಡೆ ಆಸೆಲು! ಛಠೀ ಮೈಯಾನ ಕೃಪೆ ಏಪಲಾ ಉಪ್ಪಡ್. Good wishes for Chhath Puja to you and your family! May Chhathi Maiya's grace always be there.
- ಮುಲ್ಕುನ ಸೂರ್ಯೆಗ್ ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ ಕೊರ್ದು ಜಾರುನೆನ್ಲಾ ಗೌರವಿಸೊಡು, ಮೂಡುನ ಸೂರ್ಯೆಗ್ ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ ಕೊರ್ದು ಪ್ರತಿ ರಾತ್ರೆದ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ಪೊಸ ಪುಲ್ಯ ಬರ್ಪುಂಡು ಪಂಡ್ದ್ ಕಲ್ಪುವ. Arghya to the setting sun teaches us to honour what sets; to the rising sun, that a new dawn comes after every night.
- ಮಂಗಳೂರುದ ಕಡಲ ಕರೆಟ್ ಬಯ್ಯದ ಸೂರ್ಯನ್ ತೂವೊಂದು ಛಠ್ ಆಚರಿಸುನ ಬಿಹಾರದ ಮಾತೆರೆಗ್ಲಾ ಆಸೆಲು. Watching the evening sun on the Mangaluru seashore : greetings to all from Bihar celebrating Chhath.
- ಮೂವತ್ತಾಜಿ ಗಂಟೆದ ನೀರ್ ದಾಂತಿನ ಉಪವಾಸ : ಮಾತ ವ್ರತಧಾರಿಲೆಗ್ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. A 36-hour fast without water : salutations to all the vratis.
- ಪುರೋಹಿತೆರ್ ಇಜ್ಜಿ, ಆಡಂಬರ ಇಜ್ಜಿ : ಶುದ್ಧ ನೀರ್, ಶುದ್ಧ ಮನಸ್ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಬೊಲ್ಪು; ಕಡಲ ಕರೆನ್ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ್ ದೀಲೆ. No priest, no pomp : clean water, a pure heart and sunlight; let's keep the seashore clean.
