May every lamp at your door brighten every corner of your heart, may every sparkler carry your dreams to the stars, and may the light of joy in your home never dim even after the last lamp goes out : joyful Diwali greetings!
(Goan tradition) नरकासुराचो पुतळो रातभर बांदून पयल्या फांतोडेर जळोवपाची गोंयची परंपरा तुमच्या जिवितांतल्या सगळ्या वायटाक जळोवन उडोवं, आनी पांच तरांच्या पोह्यांभशेन तुमचें जिवीत पांच तरांच्या सुखांनी भरूं. May Goa's tradition of building a Narakasur effigy all night and burning it at dawn burn away everything bad in your life, and like the five kinds of poha, may your life be filled with five kinds of happiness.
(Letter) मोगाळ इश्टा, ह्या वर्सा तुज्या घरा येवन पोहे खावंक मेळ्ळे नात, देखून ह्या संदेशा वांगडा धाडटां एक मातयेची पणटी, गोडशेचो गोडसाण आनी खूब मोग : तुज्या जनेलार दवर, आमी एकाच उजवाडांत आसात. Dear friend, I couldn't come to your house for poha this year, so with this message I'm sending a clay lamp, the sweetness of godshe and lots of love : keep it at your window; we're in the same light.
(Nostalgic) उगडास आसा, ल्हानपणार रातभर जागून नरकासुराचो पुतळो करप, फांतोडेर तो जळटना बोवाळ करप आनी उपरांत आंगाक तेल लावन न्हावप? तोच निरागस आनंद ह्या दिवाळेक तुमच्या घरा परतून येवं. Remember staying up all night as kids to make the Narakasur effigy, cheering as it burned at dawn, and then the oil bath? May that same innocent joy return to your home this Diwali.
(Spiritual) महालक्ष्मी तुमच्या घरा धनधान्याचो पावस घालूं, गणपती दरेक विघ्न पयस करूं, आनी शांतादुर्गेचो आशीर्वाद वर्सभर तुमच्या कुटुंबाचेर उरूं. May Mahalakshmi shower wealth and grain on your home, may Ganapati remove every obstacle, and may Shantadurga's blessing stay with your family all year.
