May every lamp at your door light every corner of your heart, may every sparkler carry your dreams to the stars, and may the light of joy in your home never dim even after the last lamp goes out : many, many Diwali greetings!
(Kutch) રણજી ચાંધની, ભુજજે મહેલજી રોસની ને ઘરે-ઘરે ડીવેજી કતાર : કચ્છજી હી ડિવારી તોજે જીવનમેં પ ઉજારો ભરે ને નયે વરેમેં સુખજી સરુઆત કરે. The moonlight of the Rann, the lights of Bhuj's palace and rows of lamps in every home : may this Kutchi Diwali fill your life with light and begin the new year with happiness.
(Letter) વાલા ભાઈબંધ, હિન વરે તોજે ઘરે અચીને ડિવારી ન મનાય સગ્યાસીં, તેંજે લાય હી સંધેસો ગડ મોકલીંતો હિકડો માટીજો ડીવો, થોડી મીઠાઈજી મીઠાસ ને ઘણો પ્રેમ : પિંઢજી બારીતે રખજેં, આંઈ હિકડે જ ઉજારેમેં આયૂં. Dear friend, I couldn't come to your home to celebrate Diwali this year, so I'm sending a clay lamp, a little sweetness and lots of love with this message : keep it at your window; we're in the same light.
(Nostalgic) યાધ અઈ, નિંઢે હુઆસીં તડે માડી ભેરા રંગોળી પૂરીંધા હુઆસીં, ડીવેમેં તેલ વિજંધા હુઆસીં ને ભા ભેરા ફટાકે લાય ઝગડો કરીંધા હુઆસીં? ઇ જ નિર્દોસ ખુસી હિન ડિવારીતે વરી તોજે ઘરે અચે. Remember filling in rangoli with mother as kids, pouring oil into the lamps and fighting with brother over crackers? May that same innocent joy return to your home this Diwali.
(Spiritual) લખમી માતા તોજે ઘરમેં ધન-ધાનજી વરસાધ કરે, ગણપતિ હર વિઘન ટારે, ને આસાપુરા માજી કૃપા મિડે વરે તોજે પરિવાર તે રે. May Lakshmi Mata shower wealth on your home, may Ganapati remove every obstacle, and may Ashapura Mother's grace stay on your family all year.
(For those far away) મુંબઈ હુએ કે મસ્કત, અજ રાતજો બારીતે હિકડો ડીવો બારજેં, માડીકે વીડિયો કૉલમેં કચ્છજી ડિવારી ડેખારજેં : ઇન નિંઢી જ્યોતમેં તોજે મિડે પરિવારજા આસીરવાદ બરેંતા. Whether in Mumbai or Muscat, light a lamp in your window tonight and show mother Kutch's Diwali on a video call : your whole family's blessings burn in that small flame.
(Eco-friendly) હિન વરે માટીજા ડીવા બારીયૂં, ફટાકા ઓછા ને ખિલ ઝાઝી રખું, ગાંયું, કુતા ને વડીલેંજો ખ્યાલ રખું : તડે કચ્છજી હવા પ ચોંધી ક હી ડિવારી સચી સુભ હુઈ.
